GOLDSHIF MEDIA LAUNCHES THE PERFECT FAMILY ROADTRIP PODCAST, THE STORY OF CAPTAIN CHARLOTTE

A serialized fiction adventure podcast for big kids and adults

Pasadena, CA, 07/2024 — Goldshif Media has launched its first podcast, The Story of Captain Charlotte. Set in a world of swashbuckling, high-seas adventure, The Story of Captain Charlotte is a coming-of-age podcast that focuses on themes of loss, friendship, growing up, and facing your fears. The podcast is written for big kids (6+) and adults.

Early listeners have raved about the podcast's ability to connect with children, while gripping adult listeners as well, "My kids were rapt by the fast-paced storytelling. So much so that they opted out of TV time to hear more! I too was hooked by the narrative, and am excited to hear what comes next."

As of 7/24/2024, the first three episodes of The Story of Captain Charlotte are available on all podcast platforms, and at www.thestoryofcaptaincharlotte.com. Season 1 contains 14 episodes. Following the three-episode premiere, new episodes will be released every following Wednesday at 6am EST.

The feature comes shortly after The Story of Captain Charlotte's premiere in the top 200 Kids & Family podcasts.

Pasadena, CA, 07/2024 — Goldshif Media's first podcast, The Story of Captain Charlotte, is now featured in Apple Podcast's New & Noteworthy section within the Kids & Family category! This comes after The Story of Captain Charlotte premiered to rave reviews this summer. The Story of Captain Charlotte is currently #94 on Apple's Top 200 Stories for Kids list.

The Story of Captain Charlotte was created by Meryl and Marc Opsal, a children’s fiction dream team! Meryl Opsal is a child development and education expert, actress, and breast cancer survivor (she was actually going through chemo when they recorded most of season 1)! Marc Opsal is a fiction author and audio engineer. After publishing Marc’s debut novel LIFECAST, Meryl and Marc were looking for their next project when a long car ride provided the inspiration to turn real-life bedtime stories into a fully scripted serial podcast for big kids that adults would love as well.

Join Captain Charlotte, a strong and determined young woman, and her crew as they explore uncharted islands, meet unique characters, and discover the magic of their world in this fully scripted serial fantasy adventure! This engrossing story is a little more exciting and complex than your average story podcast and is enjoyed most by big kids and adults.
